The Edmonton Elks survive an INSANE 37-35 triple-overtime thriller against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats — but this was far from a perfect performance.

On this episode of Elks 101, Declan, Eddie and Rick break down Edmonton’s wild win over Hamilton, including Vincent Blanchard making CFL history with NINE field goals and accounting for 27 of Edmonton’s 37 points.

The guys break down Edmonton’s continued struggles starting games quickly, the Elks’ ongoing red-zone problems, Vincent Blanchard’s record-setting 9-for-9 performance, Justin Rankin and Derek Powell’s explosive running, and the battle for Edmonton’s running back spots when Javon Leake returns.

They also discuss Cody Fajardo’s 298-yard, 0-TD performance, Edmonton’s receiver drops and missed opportunities, Zack Mathis’ breakout performance, Noah Taylor’s dominant defensive game, Malik Carney’s continued impact up front, and Tyrell Ford’s timely interception.

The guys also look at Edmonton’s run-defense struggles, the potential return of Torres Reid, and the incredible depth across the Elks’ roster.

The Elks move to 11-4 and take another step toward hosting the West Final. Edmonton now heads into its bye week before returning to action for the final stretch of the regular season.
