Our staff writers are sports fans who have turned their passion into their careers. They analyze the games up close, talk to players and coaches, and bring you their honest opinions. They’re hands-on, curious, and competitive in the best way, showing up early and staying late. They write for the fans and the love of the sport.

Declan is a Co-Host on ElksNation's two weekly podcasts Elks101 and ElksCentral and also the Co-Host and Producer on The Lowdown with Lowetide on Sports 1440 Monday-Friday from 12:00-2:00 PM. He graduated from the NAIT Radio Program with honours in 2021 and got his first full-time on-air radio gig with Sports 1440 in September 2023, after previously having done Four Down Breakdown and fill in duty at TSN 1260. He brings a lifetime of passion for the CFL to ElksNation and is excited to continue to cover the team through podcasting, articles, and player and coach interviews.

Jason Gregor is a sports talk radio host on Sports 1440 in Edmonton weekdays from 2-6 p.m. He began his radio career in 2001 after graduating with honours from NAIT’s Radio and Television Arts program, and he has hosted his own sports talk show since 2003. In 2005, he started his own broadcasting company, Just A Game Productions, and he operates every aspect of his show: on-air, sales, marketing and promotions. He’s an avid sports fan and has been covering the EE since 2001.
