The Edmonton Elks dropped their final regular-season game 16–9 to Saskatchewan, but with first place in the West already secured, the bigger story is what Edmonton learned about its depth ahead of the West Final!

On this episode of ElksCentral, Declan, Eddie and Rick break down the loss to the Roughriders, discuss the performances of Taylor Powell and Derek Powell, and debate which players have made the strongest cases for Edmonton’s playoff roster.

Derek Powell has been electric since the Labor Day Classic, averaging 7.2 yards per carry across 48 carries for 344 yards. With Justin Rankin and Javon Leake also in the mix, how will the Elks fit their running backs into the playoff picture?

The crew also breaks down Elijah Alston’s standout performance, Taylor Powell’s efficient passing game, Edmonton’s offensive line struggles and the team’s Defensive Player of the Year debate.
